Directions: Please answer the following questions and turn it in to the blog.
Due Date: The day after your block presentation by 8:00 A.M.
(1) Positive Statement
What are you most proud of in your Block Presentation and/or your senior project? Why?
I'm most proud of the flow and understanding I had when I presented. It felt as if I was teaching a class and everyone understood what I was explain. As well as I felt I broke down soccer and my answers to the simplicity of kids barely beginning to play soccer.
(2) Questions to Consider
a. What assessment would you give yourself on your Block Presentation (self-assessment)?
AE P AP CR NC
The assessment I would give myself would be a P. The reason I'd give myself a P is because I really felt everyone understood my material.
b. What assessment would you give yourself on your overall senior project (self-assessment)?
AE P AP CR NC
In senior project overall I would give myself an AP because I know I did miss some assignments and deadlines.
(3) What worked for you in your senior project?
What worked in my senior project was that I felt the powerpoint I mad really dumbed it down to provide my presentation viewers. As well as my drill and video at the end worked to show what happens with practice in my best answer.
(4) (What didn't work) If you had a time machine, what would have you done differently to improve your senior project if you could go back in time? Probably would've kept myself from saying the words reason being, basically and so on. I felt I sounded way to repetitive when I did that.
(5) Finding Value
How has the senior project been helpful to you in your future endeavors? Be specific and use examples.
Senior project has been helpful with my future endeavors because it's taught me that if you really want to work in something it's as simple as going for it and doing it. An example would be at the beginning of the year I at one point wanted to coach, but senior project really made me go out there and do it hands on and mentally as well.

Agustin Lopez El Monte
What is the most important thing you gained from this experience? Why? I have gained soccer knowledge when it comes to coaching as well as playing. Reason being I am viewing soccer from a different point of view as a coach and not a player and I am seeing common mistakes and how much coaching impacts a player.
Applied
How has what you’ve done helped you to answer your EQ? Please explain. As I explained previously it's basically the same I feel that me coaching has broadened my view to finding the vision I pictured of a team and what would work best for a team to which I have found all three of my answers by coaching my team and applying those systems to them. So the way it connects is that mentorship has been where discover my answers and test them.

Exit Interview
Due Date: Tuesday April 29 by 8AM
Content:(1) What is your essential question and answers? What is your best answer and why?
What strategy should a soccer coach employ in order to win the U-14 championship? A coach should employ defensive pressure on the opposing team in order to win championships in the U-14 division. A coach should keep possession of the ball by using short and quick passes with limited risk. A coach should employ a counterattacking strategy in order to maintain a favorable score during the game. My best answer is coach should keep possession of the ball by using short and quick passes with limited risk. I chose this answer because it seems like it is the only system that allows you to keep a balanced team and not risk getting scored on.

(2) What process did you take to arrive at this answer? The way i arrived to this answer was by trying different systems with my mentor Agustin Lopez and his team and felt this was the most effective.
(3) What problems did you face? How did you resolve them? The problems I faced was me playing soccer not being able to train my team for that reason. I would later figure a way to balance my time.
(4) What are the two most significant sources you used to answer your essential question and why? The 2 most significant ones I would say would be my mentor Agustin Lopez and my book "Coaching Soccer Systems & Tactics" by Jacob Daniels. My mentor because he would allow me to sort of work on my own and bounce ideas off him as to where I wanted my team. And the book because it really explained in depth what systems were and how they functioned best.
Be prepared with evidence and specific examples to support any response. It is also significant to cite sources as you explain.

4th Interview
1. What difference do formations make to the game? Formations make somewhat of a difference and is the way that you share the work to put it in complex words.
2. What mindset should a coach have in key games? He should have a postive thought on his players thinking they are going to play at their highest level.
3. What kind of coach should a coach be when it comes to discipline? A coach should be very strict and show his authority.4. Why should a coach be strict? Why not? That's the way that you show your players that what you say goes and that's how they reflect your though on the field.
5. What do you suggest is best free from play or having a gameplan? Why? I'd say game plan at the age of U-14 because they don't have the age old enough to know how to play free form.
6. What kind of approach should a coach have with his players? He should have a good relationship because that way they are more likely to listen to you.
7. Why is it important to respect your players? It's the general rule if you respect me I'll respect you.
8. Why should a coach trust each and everyone of his players? Reason being that if you show trust they get more confidence
9. How would you describe the perfect team? A player that is well rounded in every position.
10. How do you believe a coach can bring the best out of his players? By showing a discipline game style and should show confidence in his team.
11. How should a coach scold a player when he/she has done something wrong? They should give them a mature approach and talk to them and explain what they did wrong.
12. Why should or why shouldn't a coach scold his player? He should because in soccer there is always a way to get better.
13. Why do coaches scout other teams before playing them? That way you know if you need to adjust your team to attempt to beat the other team.
14. Why should a coach scout? Why not? That reason you know who to watch out for if they have any good players and how to handle them.
15. Why should or why shouldn't a coach use stats for his players? A coach shouldn't use stats because soccer is a sport that you never know one day it could be your best game and the next can be your worst.
16. What kind of mentality should a coach have? A coach in my belief should be a little more defensive than offensive.
17. When assigning roles for your players on the field what do you look at? I look at whether they perform the correct function on the field.
18. Why do most coaches change formations every game? The reason they change often because each team is different.
19. What kind of things do you take into account when coming up with a formation and gameplan? I take in account players who stand out, ways they come out playing, ways they score and such.
20. Why should a coach not be too offensive or too defensive? Does is work to be too offensive or defensive? I believe defensive is just about right. The reason is that I think if you throw your team way to back and I believe counterattack is best.
